The house

Taverna Romantica is a small, independent retreat where the warmth of wood and stone meets modern comfort. It is designed for couples and small groups of up to three people looking for peace and quiet, with lakes, trails and towns just minutes away.

Lake Varese is 4 km away, Lake Maggiore and the centre of Varese about ten minutes by car, and Lake Lugano and Lake Como are easy day trips. The train station is within walking distance, so you can travel between the lakes and even to Milan without a car.

Guests have the whole taverna to themselves, with a private entrance, private bathroom and courtyard. Parking is free, right in front of the house.

The house is in the hamlet of Torre, on a quiet private dead-end lane next to the railway, away from traffic. The trails of the Campo dei Fiori Regional Park, with woods and viewpoints, start a few minutes' walk away, and bikes can be rented nearby to ride the 27 km cycle path around Lake Varese.
